CYPECAD MEP M02 - Acoustics offers a selection of BIM tools specialised in building acoustic studies. Aimed at technicians specialising in acoustics. Includes a program specialised in the study of insulation and sound absorption in buildings, complying with the international standard EN ISO 12354:2017, as well as another program that allows the calculation and measurement of sound insulation, evaluation of sound absorption and reverberation time in interior spaces. This solution facilitates interoperability between its different tools. It is an ideal BIM solution for acoustic simulations that seek to maximise regulatory compliance and efficiency in their management.

Integration with other BIM project disciplines

The projects developed in this tool can be integrated and made compatible with other project disciplines, thanks to the Open BIM workflow established via the use of the BIMserver.center platform.

03 PROGRAMS - 02 MODULES

ACB

This module can use the AcouBAT by CYPE program, a tool developed by CYPE and the French organisation CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment) to study the acoustic insulation and conditioning of any type of building

ACG

This module allows users to carry out acoustic insulation checks according to the calculation method described in the EN 12354 (ISO 15712) standards in CYPESOUND.

IFC Builder

IFC Builder is a free CYPE application designed for the creation and maintenance of IFC building models.

AcouBAT by CYPE

AcouBAT by CYPE is a tool developed by CYPE and the CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment) with the aim to help users study the sound insulation and absorption of buildings. It calculates the indices that evaluate the insulation of airborne sound (indoor and outdoor), impact sound insulation and the reverberation level in indoor spaces, in accordance with the procedure contained in the EN ISO 12354:2017 code.

Design and verification of the sound insulation against airborne noise and impact noise, sound immission and reverberation level.
